We’re excited to announce that Malathy Eskola, a former Microsoft Finland CMO, has joined Kuva Space as the Marketing and PR Director. Mala brings over 20 years of international experience in marketing and communications strategy to Kuva Space.
As a seasoned marketing leader, Mala led global, regional, and local marketing, helping technology brands such as Nokia and Microsoft reach and engage customers in a meaningful way. Her work spans brand management, market research, customer marketing, partner marketing, social media, digital marketing, and customer engagement programs. She is a vision-driven and goal-focused leader who champions technological advances and creativity.
After 20 years in the corporate world, she jumped into entrepreneurship running her independent marketing consultancy. She worked with regional and local clients from multiple industries with their marketing strategy and transformation. Working closely with her client’s sales and marketing teams, she has successfully launched digital services and growth marketing initiatives to drive business goals.
In her new role, Mala will oversee Kuva Space’s communications and marketing strategy and execution, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. She will lead the company’s branding, marketing, and PR by developing narratives aligned with its long-term goals.
“Kuva Space offers me the opportunity to be part of a meaningful mission. The promise of bringing actionable hyperspectral earth observation data and insights to enhance our decision-making across many industry verticals to tackle the defining issues of our time – climate change, food security and peace – is powerful. To be part of a team creating a solution for a more sustainable and bearable future for humanity is personally fulfilling. Kuva Space has the power to make a difference with its state-of-art hyperspectral satellite constellations and Green Data® Platform. And that alone is a potent reason to be here now.
With three successful satellites orbiting the earth, Kuva Space is on track to launch its first commercial hyperspectral satellite in early 2023 – and start the commercialisation journey. With this space-borne capability, we will more confidently navigate the disruption ahead of us.
I cannot be more thrilled to venture into space technology with Kuva Space’s growing number of talented and energetic people – and build this purpose-led brand to become one of the leading brands in making the world a better place.”
